Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the idemapi website, API, documentation, and related services made available by Algoritful. By accessing or using idemapi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms are intended as a strong commercial baseline, but you should replace any company, notice, tax, and jurisdiction placeholders with the exact legal details of the entity operating the service before relying on them in production.

1. Scope of the service

idemapi is a developer service that derives stable, deterministic IDs from noisy embeddings. The service may include the public website, API endpoints, hosted infrastructure, marketplace listings, example code, and technical documentation.

idemapi is provided for software integration and infrastructure use. It is not legal, compliance, biometric, medical, employment, or consumer credit advice.

2. Eligibility and authority

You represent and warrant that you are legally able to enter into these Terms, and if you are using the service on behalf of a company or other entity, you have authority to bind that entity.

3. Accounts, credentials, and security

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your credentials, marketplace subscriptions, API keys, and internal systems. You must keep all credentials confidential and notify Algoritful promptly of any unauthorized access, suspected compromise, abuse, or security incident affecting your use of the service.

4. Customer data and legal responsibility

You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of all data, embeddings, content, identifiers, metadata, and signals you submit to idemapi, and for obtaining all notices, consents, permissions, and legal bases required to collect, process, transfer, and use that data.

If you use idemapi with biometric, behavioral, identity, or other sensitive data, you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, contractual commitments, and sector-specific requirements, including privacy, biometric, employment, consumer protection, AI, discrimination, surveillance, export control, and cross-border transfer obligations.

You must not use idemapi in a way that violates the rights of any person, including privacy, publicity, civil rights, labor rights, or anti-discrimination rights.

5. Prohibited uses

• Use idemapi for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent activity.
• Use idemapi to build or support mass surveillance, stalking, harassment, doxxing, or unlawful tracking.
• Use idemapi as the sole basis for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without appropriate human review and legal safeguards.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass, probe, or defeat service protections, rate limits, tenancy controls, or authentication systems.
• Interfere with service integrity, availability, or security, including denial-of-service activity, abusive traffic, scraping beyond permitted use, or credential sharing.
• Submit malicious payloads, infringing content, or data you do not have the right to process.

6. No guarantee of outcome

idemapi is an infrastructure component, not a guarantee of identity, authenticity, legitimacy, safety, compliance, or fitness for any particular use case. You are solely responsible for your own downstream workflows, thresholds, access control logic, manual review layers, fraud processes, and product decisions.

7. Acceptable use, limits, and suspension

Algoritful may impose or enforce request limits, quotas, anti-abuse rules, traffic shaping, logging, or other technical protections. Algoritful may suspend, throttle, restrict, or terminate access immediately if it reasonably believes your use is abusive, unlawful, unsafe, materially risky, or likely to harm the service, Algoritful, other customers, or third parties.

8. Fees, billing, and taxes

Paid use of idemapi may be offered directly by Algoritful or through a marketplace, including RapidAPI. Pricing, billing terms, usage measurement, refunds, credits, overage rules, and taxes may depend on the commercial channel through which you purchase access.

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, levies, and governmental charges associated with your use of the service, excluding taxes based on Algoritful's net income.

9. Intellectual property

Algoritful and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to idemapi, including all software, models, methods, infrastructure, documentation, branding, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights.

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Algoritful grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to access and use idemapi for your internal business purposes and your customer-facing applications.

10. Feedback

If you provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, or improvement requests, you grant Algoritful a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or obligation.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IDEMAPI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

Algoritful does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, available at any particular time or location, or suitable for any regulated, safety-critical, or high-risk environment.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALGORITFUL, ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SUPPLIERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF ALGORITFUL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO ALGORITFUL FOR IDEMAPI DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100).

13. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Algoritful, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and licensors from and against any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of idemapi, your data, your products, your end users, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Termination

You may stop using idemapi at any time. Algoritful may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, create legal or operational risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or if Algoritful discontinues the service.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions on ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, payment obligations, and dispute resolution.

15. Modifications

Algoritful may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective when posted. Your continued use of idemapi after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms should be finalized with the governing law and exclusive venue chosen by the legal entity operating idemapi. Replace this section before relying on it in production.
